| Today at approximately 10:00 am a dove struck a picture window in New Hampshire and was fatally wounded. Resuscitation attempts composed of alternatively poking it with a shovel and tapping it with a shoe were unsuccessful. "I heard this thunk sound and when I turned around it [the bird] was lying there trying to flap its wings on the ivy bed, and when I came back in two hours with a bucket to throw it in the gully flies were all over it" says one witness.
