A creator of the universe could very well be a discovery in the future, but we can't make that leap in knowledge because past knowledge does not lead us to that type of stepping stone. We must build on what we already know to make a rational and logical explanation. Theists are trying to fit a puzzle piece that does not fit with the current puzzle pieces. That is why they are irrational in their philosophies.
