In a world where altruism is sneered at ala Ayn Rand (is 'Atlas Shrugged' STILL second to the Bible?), what would you expect?

Saddened, yes, but definitely not surprised.

The woman was a kook (a hypochondriac, most likely). Most of them probably knew her (and her fantasy illnesses) and didn't really think much about her 'show'.

Still, a hospital is not the place to practice apathy, indifference, and presumption.

Was it lunch time?
