| First of all, I didn't put anyone down. People are welcome to smoke or drink or believe in god(s) as they will. Some of my heroes, such as Kathy Kelly are very religious. That doesn't mean that religion is healthy. I'm overweight, and I realize that it's not healthy. It's not an insult to me to discuss that. Hopefully, you'll accept me knowing I could stand to lose a few pounds. But I certainly don't promote obesity, nor would I say that superstition is good for anyone. Albert Ellis, the psychologist, has written that it is a disease. I don't think it is, anymore than I think that alcoholism is a disease. It's a choice. I'm not knocking alcoholics if I discuss that. |
