Americans like their entertainment dirty or glossy or both. Chat shows about degenerates spawning degenerate kids, or sexy single lawyers doing sexy single things. Over this side of the pond we have acquired the same taste for filth but we still make shows that feature some quite unattractive people involved in some actual plots.
Its is good though that we have those two styles as it allows for the consumer to pick and choose what they are in the mood for. |
Do they like it, or do they just watch it because it's on the stations they can recieve on their budget?
Honestly, I don't see a lot of choice unless you can afford the deluxe cable, or satellite package, and poor people ( read what used to pass for "middle income" ) have damn little choice because they cannot afford the luxury of the deluxe package.
