Not really. I'm not going to address your simplistic attack, just your other premise.
I didn't receive a strict anti-authoritarian upbringing. My views aren't popular with literally everyone I know personally. Still, if the government goes on a with hunt, plenty of people could fall for things I've said. It reminds me of tactics employed in an "Under Siege" film. The terrorists didn't just shoot one rowdy hostage. They shot his neighbor. It was a lousy movie, but that's not the point. The point is one of fear, and that's what these political campaigns are all about
: Fear, propaganda, and loyalty to the two-party state.
