We need a strong central authority (Hamilton's correct view) to protect the rights of the individual against the tyranny of the monied interests (Jefferson's correct view). There is no universal or natural law that states that you have to accept the errors of an otherwise brilliant individual if you want to accept his/her useful contributions. Take truth where you find it and reject error where you discover it. It really is that simple.
