I think it's just this thing that happens with our minds..... when it happened to me I was a lot more emotionally unbalanced than I am now so I think our mental state plays a part in it.
I've had deja-vu once.. or would this be called deja-vu? ...
I met this guy at my high school, and the first time I met him I wanted really badly to ask him if I had met him somewhere else before, because I couldnt shake the feeling that I knew him from somewhere. I didnt ask though, because i didnt want to sound stupid because there was no where i could have met him. Anyways, as it turned out he became a really good friend to me at a time when i really needed it. |
I think I've experienced sleep paralysis, either that or they were terrifying dreams of my bedroom, with me being unable to move, and a dark presence, a being that I can't explain. I used to think these were recurring dreams when I was younger (it's a similar situation every time, obviously) but when I heard about sleep paralysis (essentially you become concious without your brain having shut off your self paralyzing mode that kicks in during REM sleep to prevent injuries from thrashing around; why you are paranoid to the point of sensing a malevolent presence in the room is beyond me) It seemed to fit. I need no other explanation for why people think they are visited by aliens than the sheer terror of the being in the shadows who has somehow paralized you.
