That's not evil. That's just crappy writing.

It's an attempt at showing how imperfect people are. There is a good side and a bad side though and it glorifies the good side.

As for white witches and warlocks fighting evil. There is no such thing as a witch. A fiction writer can create a premise for a witch or warlock any way he or she likes. The writer doesn't have to make them evil or good because they don't exist.

But if you don't like characters switching sides, don't watch Lost, James Bond, Alias, or half of cable shows. (definitely don't watch Desperate Housewives.)
