Acturally if we kept all the money we earn and did not pay income tax or sales taxes then we might be able to afford sending our kid to a private school, we could afford a doctor, and we could afford to donate to charity, and all the other things we pay the government to arrange for us.
We could even hire our own security guards instead of using the police. Or unit as unions.
But they would need payroads so that we don't end up with a lot of potholes.
To make that system work we would also get rid of insurance companies and credit cards. That would force anyone who wants to stay in business to make things affordable to as many people as possible, otherwise they would end up with few buyers for their products or services.
Things would therefore balance out relative to the average income and the cost of living. That is the cost of living would be dictated by the average income of the majority.
We would need to work together like in the old days. If I help you build your house then you would help me build my house, we would establish neighborhood groups to do that bigger projects.
Those managers we call the government were once just people we hired to take care of some of our community needs. Now they think we work to support them and their welfare. All taxes put together adds up to nearly 60 percent of a middle class income, mostly so that our governmental workers can drive around in new cars at our expense ( well, not totally, but that is one aspect of it).
We are mostly funding the wealthy few with a big brother security force.
To hell with them. let them buy their own shotguns.
