| You can't pigeon hole the cause of these things as "bad parenting" or "myspace"... there a plethora of causes for these kind of things and they all add up. However, one prominent cause I'd like to note is, yes, RAP MUSIC.. specifically the culture and lifestyle that goes along with it. It has a big part in this mentality. And I'm not some out of touch forty year old who doesn't get the youth of today... I've grown up in that culture and I can see what it's doing to kids... they adopt the gangster lifestyle because they idolize these guys, they start carrying weapons, provoking fights, etc. It's no longer limited to gangs and the hood, it's white suburbia where this shit runs wild.
