In the 1700s, when feudalism was breaking down and capitalism was on the rise, it was the excuse of "individualism" that the bourgeois revolutions began(viz. American Revolution).

Bingo! Individualism was a myth leftover from the 1700s that well wishers believe in; however, by no means does it exist -save in the form of an idea- and I have yet to see any proof that it has!!! Its not like collectivism exists either, capitalism
is collective! It requires that people work for others' profit, that the "individual" reaps none of what s/he sows.
