I think that many practical uses for a ray gun, such as this heat gun could be found/fun!

I would like to be able to go to my local PetMart, and buy a little gun like that that would disuade pets from scratching on furniture, trespassing in the wrong place. If it's "OK" to use on people - it should be "OK" for animals.
