Thanks I'll remember your golden pearls of wisdom next time a civil rights activist whines at me about discrimination.
Resentment is another expression of weakness, probably the most psychologically dehabilitating one of all.

Quote:
There are, its a gay slang word for heterosexuals
Words don't acquire negative connatations just by being slang. There has to be some real hatred and malice behind them, like the 'n' word -- that particular word has centuries of spite, bitterness, and cruelty riding behind it, so condemnation of that word makes more sense than condemning 'straight'. The very, absolute worst emotions riding behind 'straight' are playfulness and humor, which can only bother someone who takes things dead seriously or mistakes playfulness as meaning something hateful and sinister.

Homosexuals, in spite of their historical and contemporary misfortunes, have never been able to put much genuine malice into the word 'straight' in part because they haven't been able to divide themselves as completely from heterosexuals as people of different religions and races can divide themselves from each other; too many of their friends and family are heterosexual for them to feel at ease condemning the group. In contrast, people of different religions and races find it easier to divide themselves because there is typically less of a bond.

A moral being is an entity for whom the disadvantage of others is an issue.
