Jesus didn't really teach anything, all He did was restate things of moral types, like being what people understood as being good. Then he went on about forgiveness, and that doesn't hold well with me. What did he teach, that a mustard seed yada yada and heaven is great and hell is for the wicked, that is all. What set Him apart from the churches of the day was they liked hearing what He said and shunned the teachings of the churches, which were pagan, and they were struck with terror when they heard about hell. Pagan churches don't speak of hell as much, but just go on about how to bond with God, so, people preffered being forgiven by the "one true God" more than the idea of bonding with other Gods, logically. The churches of the day doubtlessly had teachings of how to be more special to God, but they were forgotten as soon as they herad of miracles that were not able to be done by reverends of other types of churches, so they turned their backs on their roots and embraced the more fear driven set. All religions are full of love, but you only notice it when you are actively thinking about it, as with embracing a new one, one might think that they are more filled with love than before. This is common to embracing a new faith.
