I think that it was good of Rush Limbaugh to express his views on a Black President and to prove that he is not a racist has promoted Colin Powell and Condoleezza Rice as strong candidates for presidential status. I think that it was fair on the part of Rush to say about is comments on a black president. I think that we should thank him….shouldn’t we? |
What comments? I don't listen to him.
And it's interesting that Rush Limbaugh promoted Colin Powell, since Powell was pretty much a conservative in name only. Based on his known positions, he struck me more as a (Bill) Clinton Democrat than anything.
Which makes me think that Limbaugh isn't particularly concerned with Powell's or Rice's politics as much as the Republicans being the first party to elect a black President.
Ironic, isn't it, that the party that abhores affirmative action is the same party that placed Clarence Thomas on the Bench and will happily nominate (Any popular black person) to the Presidency.
(Boy, the GOP must have been drooling buckets when they thought Condi Rice might run. Imagine the Southern Strategy Republicans beating the Liberal, affirmative action loving Democrats with both the first Woman President and the first Black!!!)
