To the OP, Coleman isn't going to sue Al Gore. He only made that comment in passing at the Heartland Institute sponsored gathering of denialists in New York recently. He isn't going to sue him because accusing scientists of fraud (which is essentially what he'd have to do, since it's scientists, not Gore, who publish evidence supporting the theory) is rather serious business, and Coleman, who has precisely no experience in this sort of thing (he's never published a single piece of original research), realizes he has no case.

It would be kind of amusing to watch though. If Gore brought in some climate scientists for testimony Coleman would receive a beating reminiscent to the one cdesign proponentist Michael Behe took during the Dover monkey trials in 2005. And it might actually serve to educate people on the science behind the theory.
