| I don't think some people realize that our foreign policy is made in our own interests? If selling agricultural products in competition with Haiti is wrong then we place a bar on selling anything that another country can produce/ In a free market alls fair. We can make preferential agreements but only if they are to our advantage.. US interests are for its own citizens and businesses. Which is best for the USA versus what some other country thinks about us? I hear it almost daily..other countries hate us? Hate can quickly change to love if we have something they want.
Another thing I detest is the "indirect consequences" argument! What one country did 50 years ago(under different circumstances) is now to be blamed on them for current events? That doesn't make sense to me? The world is dynamic and changes.
A third gripe I have is against those who place any truth in campaign utterances by competing candidates? We see Obama, Clinton, et al proved to be liars quite frequently. They tend to say whatever they think a constituancy wants to hear?
It's part of the slime ridden game that is politics. And then we trust and admire them..example Bill Clinton who a few still think is a good man.
Thus we play the fools with the time, and the spirits of the wise sit in the clouds and mock us. |
