He was talking to the Jews who wanted to stone him for his claim to be the son of God. Jesus points out David's psalm, "I said, 'You are "gods"; you are all sons of the Most High'
by saying "Is it not written in your Law, 'I have said you are gods'? If he called them 'gods,' to whom the word of God came--and the Scripture cannot be broken-- what about the one whom the Father set apart as his very own and sent into the world? Why then do you accuse me of blasphemy because I said, 'I am God's Son?"
Jesus also said "I and the Father are one."
"I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me." If we become as gods, it is through Jesus, there is no other way. But this is not the teaching of the prophet for Maitreya. He teaches that we are our own gods, equal to Jesus.
This is directly against the bible. We will never be equal to Jesus. Jesus and God are one. The Most High. We will never be the 'Most High'. We are sons of the Most High. |
