Actually, the two are pretty much analogous. Being attracted to the same sex is indeed not a lifestyle choice, but then neither is being attracted to cigarettes. Acting on either of these desires is a choice, it’s a choice which affects no one else, and it’s a choice which you have no grounds to judge people for.

From your point of view perhaps. If, however, the smoker is question considers the enjoyment of smoking to be more important than a few extra years of life, it’s a perfectly valid choice. You shouldn’t be so judgemental of other lifestyles.
