Quote by: Chaossaber314 John Kerry is the direct example of why the primary system in this country is completely and utterly broken. Prior to the Iowa Caucus, Kerry was barely a blip. The media was salivating at the prospect of a Bush vs. Dean race. Then all of the sudden Kerry inexplicably pulls through in Iowa and gains the resulting momentum from the media to take the nomination.
Hell, as I recall, he couldn't even be bothered to show up at the last debate before Iowa and was shown on a plasma screen.
I'd be very interested to see what really went on behind closed doors during the Democratic Primary for the 2004 race. Nothing about that primary period made a bit of logical sense. | I believe you forget a certain eeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeya! incident.
Place me like a seal over your heart, like a seal on your arm; for love is as strong as death, its jealousy unyielding as the grave. It burns like blazing fire, like a mighty flame. -- Song 8:6 |
