• Wallet/checkbook I believe those take up the most considderable space in a purse. Perhaps reduce to a man wallet and perhaps only keep 5-10 cheques instead of the entire booklet at a time.

And why would I take checks out of the check book? That's why I carry a purse, silly! Besides didn't anyone ever tell you, men may control the TV remote, but women control the checkbook. (you'll find out when you get married)

• lighter x2 Reduce to one would reduce on less thing to sift through (Keep two when one is low)

• Uniball fine pt pens X3 Now I understand one of these pens for the cheque book, but what is the need of 3, let alone the Sharpie in addition? Are you planning on burning some CD's while you're out?

The sharpie I used at work to label and date food. I got tired having to borrow someone else's and the place was too cheap to buy more than one so I bought my own and kept it on my purse. I carry three pens for the same reason. I have an extra lighter because people don't always return things they borrow.

I'll give you that one. I have no idea why it's in my purse or how it got there? It was in the glove compartment. Must be those damn kids of mine playing on my purse again?

Chapstick/ lip stick Lipstick..... isn't that contradicting to you claiming you do all that before you leave?

Remember the smokes? Contrary to what the makeup ads want you to believe, there is no such thing as long wearing lipstick. You have to reapply. I read on Askmen.com that most guys love watching a woman put on lipstick.... maybe they just meant American men?

It's a funny thread. But I do agree, Politeness is hard to come by now a days. I'm shocked at the number of rude people I encounter, mostly women. (there I said it!)
