That's where you're wrong. Perhaps we can't do much in the SHORT TERM to change events, but that doesn't mean we shouldn't be doing everything in our power
right now to reverse things in the LONG TERM.
Otherwise, you're simply advocating a self-fulfilling prophecy... making ourselves, and most life on earth, extinct.
