I have to tell you that I really don't like the cultural dictates on what "masculine" and "feminine" should mean. I think that our culture implies that masculinity involves being a drooling Neanderthal, while femininity involves being a flighty little airhead. It ticks me off. A lot of really good men are convinced that they're gay simply because they exhibit what I would call positive traits: empathy, creativity, sentimentality, intelligence, tenderness, spirituality; they have a true strength of character, as opposed to the relative weakness and fear that cause other men to resort to chest beating. It ticks me off that society convinces this type that they are gay.

The problem is the assumption that these certain character traits that I have mentioned should be exclusive to a certain gender. I think that's nonsense. Men should not be intimidated and women should not be freaked out when they see these things in each other. After all, a part of them probably desires these traits, even though they've been trained to think of them negatively. But I think there would be far fewer problems between men and women if they were able to fulfill their gender roles in full recognition of their true natures.
That's all well and fine and works well in an academic discussion, but not in the real world. It's called nature. Nature dictates what men and women are attracted to and the vast majorty of them are attracted to the masculine and the feminine. This is mostly a problem of laziness on women's part. They demand men be masculine, which they are attracted to, but too lazy and worthless to work at the corresponding counterpart. Nature, it seems, doesn't give a *^&% whether you like 'traditional gender roles.' Aint' that a bitch? SORRY.

Now, can we get back to the topic, please? How women are so nauseatingly butch in Ameica today.
