Can you prove that? Until you can, freedom of expression isn't something so easy to dump. Otherwise you maybe taking away something that maybe of religious importance to them. If people have to grow their beards to a certain length according to a religion, then fine. If they have to go to Church every Sunday, thats not religious opression, but it could be. It's not unheard of that a person go to Church only so they don't "bring shame to the family". Saying grace before meals can be seen as a form of "cultural oppression"

Thats what the vale represents. Only a fraction of the inane cultural "laws" under which Muslims operate. A sister, a wife, a daughter, is forced through cultural oppression to hide her entire body under a blanket. If they choose not too, the price is extreme. Even deadly in some random occurrences.

Which is the problem of having a theocracy in the 21st century, and that is something I agree is dumb.
