I see what you mean and I agree.... trying to glorify someone for being stupid isn't what should be done here.... instead, there should have been lectures on responsibilities and examples of what not to do.... possibly restricting people from drinking in that area next time or something......
But then they probably have to worry about getting sued, so they have to make a big tribute to her and her idiot ways.

But would have the same thing occured if she was of another race? Well think about it.... do you think any campus wants to have anybody die on it, regardless of their race or gender? To me, they did approach this in the best manner for damage control to make it seem like they actually cared.... and perhaps they did.
But perhaps to better strengthen your defense, perhaps you can show a similar example of this in regards to someone of a different race.
