| I don't do these social networking sites like Myspace and Stickam, but aren't they like online popularity contests? My friends teenage boy visits them and thats what it looked like to me. He has an account on Stickam, which is a webcam live chat service. They even seem to have social groups just like high school. Geeks and "cool" people. The "cool" kids say things in their profile like "If you're fat or ugly DON'T COME IN MY ROOM". Than they sit there all day in the dark (on-cam:confused:) and eat Doritos and curse each other out, all while trying to accrue the largest "Friends list" that they can to show their status.
It seems like a twisted option to going outside and/or having real friends. |
