Then you would be paying much higher state income taxes or sales taxes, and so it is pointless to repeal the 16 amendment. They make amendments for important reasons and if we make them and repeal them every four years then you might as well not even have that option.
You want Congress to end up like John Kerry flip flopping amendments like pancakes everytime a different political party gains control? I don't think so.

First you say if we want change we must create a new amendment in the Consitution and then you turn around and say we need to repeal the amendments that allow for change, make up your mind Kiddo.
