| Math is a less ambiguous language that we invented.
I suppose it's a common misconception that math exists and that we're learning it, but it's simply not the case. We invented it, and we continue to invent new parts of it.
The reason you can't speak to a computer in english is the high level of ambiguity inherant to English. We must use a much more precise language to communicate with them... so we use C++, or VB.NET or what have you. Math is another case of a language that is invented that is less ambiguous than normal spoken language. It's not perfect though. Far from it. |
