Downplaying the severity of past military atrocities and rewriting the Constitution are hints toward the assumption of a more aggressive stance. While the Constitution needs to be rewritten (how long are the fiercely nationalistic Japanese going to put up with a national creed engineered by gaijin invaders?) I worry about who will be doing the rewriting.
