First of all your premise that under feudalism the king owned all is wrong. The king has quite seperate lands, and was only truely master of his own court. He gave his land to nobles, on the understanding that if there was a war that noble (now a duke or earl) would raise an army from his peasents. This is the dukes army, not the kings. The dukes would then divide their lands out to the barons, who would manage the affairs of each area for them. The barons then divided the land between their knights who would act as a sort of police force.

The king could easily be deposed by the dukes because the king had so little power under feudalism. He had no army of his own. His wealth came from what lands he retained for himself and his taxes.

However in the 16th and early 17th century kings and queens consolodated their power by centralising these armies under their own banner, thereby castrating the lords of their power. It was only at this time that 'states' actually came into being, with a proper central government and its neccesary bureacracy. It also marked the end for feudalism, because such dividing up of land and power was unnecesary.

So fuck you on that point.

Socialism is democratic. Under feudalism power is based on hereditary links. So fuck you there too.

Under socialism you are free, you are your own person, and you work with collectively owned resources for your own benefit. Others benefit from your work, but you are working for yourself. Under feudalism you are owned by your liege lord, you are their subjects. You work for them, not yourself. You work, or die by being slain. If you do work, you still might die of starvation because your produce is owned by your owner. Hey, that's how capitalism works, except you get to choose who owns your labour. Whoopy fucking doo.

In fact, the only link between socialism and feudalism is that both are based around producing for consumption, rather than profit. And considering that it is this drive for profit that is thoroughly raping the planet we should be sharing, I can't say producing for consumption is a bad thing.

Socialism is a philosophy of failure, the creed of ignorance, and the gospel of envy, its inherent virtue is the equal sharing of misery.
