I would agree that you should stop making military threats, GBA, but, Ibn, I'm sad to say that they are not superficial (though the U.S. should be sufficiently skittish of foreign involvement on it's own for a while) Iran has not been a world power since the Sassanids controlled the middle east after the Romans fell (and I'm not sure if they were really persian) While you are certainly on the rise in terms of relevance, due to your antagonization of the U.S., I would remind you that, while the U.S. might not wipe out you're people, it certainly can send you back a few centuries. Those are not "superficial" threats.
