That youtube debate wasn't just silly, it was pathetically silly. I don't blame them for not bothering with it. Why do a circus act? |
I would agree that a least three questions were silly or presented in a odd way, that is totally the fault of CNN but on the other hand if people go to a lot of trouble to produce a short but creative question it means that the Utube generation is becoming interested in politics - and that is a positive step. This is partly about introducting younger people to the poltical arena and showing them that everyone has a chance to have a voice. On the other hand most of the questions were good ones global concerns and domestic topics of interest to regular people.
Our voice at the ballet box only counts a few times, we should expect canadates to answer questions from the voters rather then just the newsmen. Once elected a President cannot totally depend on polls for guideance because public opions can flip flop from side to side on topics because the polls can be manipulated. This is the one chance to help get an agenda we want for the next 4 years - by asking questions to make the canadates say what agenda they have on topics.
I wonder it a question using the terminology of tech messinging could be comprehended by a Ron Paul?
