The Republicans' sudden aversion has political observers wondering whether abandoning an opportunity to participate in the fledging format shows a potentially costly reluctance to engage with voters or is simply an exercise in prudent message management.
I pick reluctance to engage with voters for $500 Alex.

Technosoul hit it on the noggen... they may not think it's a perfect format, but the people want it regardless.... and they should dam well pull down their pants and show that they got a pair if they want to be the leader of these people they don't have time to talk to......

Pardon my Quebec French, but if these so-called future leaders don't have the balls to answer tough questions from their own people, how the hell is anybody gonna have faith in them when they gotta deal with people outside of your country who have even less tollerance?

It's not a good idea to vote for someone who's stuck in their own little bubble, where they won't listen to their own people, let alone other countries around the world..... Does anybody need a case in point here?
