America's Most Wanted joins hunt for Ontario fugitive

Quote:
The hunt for an Ontario man wanted in three killings is reaching a U.S. audience through the website of the popular crime show America's Most Wanted.

A profile of Jesse Imeson, 22, was displayed on the website's front page Thursday, with a description of the crimes and a number of photographs of the suspect. The show's producer says the case may be profiled on a future show.

"Any time somebody's on the run and fleeing justice, it attracts our attention," show producer Paula Simpson told the Canadian Press from Washington, D.C. "This is particularly heinous, because not just one person has been killed, but now three."

The search for Imeson began late last week after the body of a Windsor, Ont., bartender was found Thursday in a room Imeson rented at a boarding house. Carlos Rivera, 25, had died of strangulation.

Several days later, William Regier, 72, and his wife Helene, 73, were found dead in their farmhouse in the small rural community of Dashwood, near the eastern shore of Lake Huron.

Imeson is wanted for first-degree murder for all three killings.

Ontario Provincial Police told a local newspaper they welcomed the attention and hoped it would help them find the suspect.

The crime show's website boasts its viewers have helped catch 954 fugitives to date.

Forty-nine Canada-related criminal cases have been profiled on the site through the years, including the high-profile murder of Alicia Ross of Markham, Ont.

Police have repeatedly warned the public that Imeson is considered armed, dangerous and unpredictable.

Wednesday evening, a green Ford Taurus sought in connection with the investigation was found in dense bush near the village of Zurich, about 100 kilometres northwest of London and about 12 kilometres north of the Regier's town.

The vehicle had been stolen from the area of Monday's killing.

Police are still searching for a grey GMC Sierra pickup truck that belonged to the Regiers.
I find it actually funny when your or our criminals try and cross the borders..... both countries always throw them back when they are found.

This is more of a Heads up then a debate, unless someone can think of something to debate about on this.
