I read about England's crime rate on the U.S. Dept of Justice Bureau of statistics page: http://www.ojp.usdoj.gov/bjs/pub/html/cjus...sew96/highs.htm. I don't live in England so I don't know what it's really like but Im not trying to spread misinformation. My point is, banning guns gives criminals more opportunity to commit violent crime while taking away the ability of citizens to defend themselves. Some argue that the cops should be left to protect us but they're only real function, at least here, is to respond to a crime after it happens.

Oh, and my stats are from 1995. I didn't realize the gun ban was in 1998. I made my comments about England with insufficient information.
