| I think the issue should be looked at this way:
If a man violently rapes his toddler to the point of severe injury, what contributions can he still make to society?
He has demonstrated that he is incapable of adhering to the single level of social responsibility (wife and children) beyond himself. If he can't look out for the well-being of his own flesh and blood, what good is he to the rest of us?
