An advanced alien race would most likely have the same experiences we've had. Why assume they would be paragons of virture to our vice? Also, why assume their technology would be so far advanced over ours? Sure it's possible but is ite really likely considering the time it took for live to advance to our level here, why would it take less time elsewhere?

Let's be honest, if you saw an advanced race that had the technology to cure most diseases and to feed most of their population, yet their resources are distributed quite unfairly and they're trying to kill each other for no seemingly "logical" reason, I mean what kind of impression would that make?
