But the National Rifle Association knows; their support for this bill was critical for its passage. They love guns and a strict constructionist reading of the Second Amendment. According to the NRA, when medical doctors diagnose mental illness, the patient's name goes into a gun-buyer registry until the patient is cured. The NRA wouldn't lie to us, would they?
