| The fruit of the tree of knowledge of good and evil was independence. Both the tree of life and the tree of knowledge of good and evil were in the midst of the garden. Probably right next to each other. They were not hidden in some corner but in the " midst" of the garden. They repesent the choice we each have of reliance on God or reliance on ourselves. Then they were cast out of the garden because if they wanted independence then they got it. They got evil and good in the same world to choose from. God said they would die if they ate of it and they did. So life with God or death without Him. Choose. |
