| Feminist theory, as a means of analyzing power structures, has quite a bit of potential. Taken as a useful tool, feminism provides men and women alike with a fantastic way to critique our many social institutions. For those (increasingly) few feminists that do not automatically assume the responsibility of the patriarchy for all of todays problems, I only applaude them. Unfortunately, the vast majority of feminists seem to have forgotten that the most important 'point' to feminism (equality for all) transcends gender, and, consequentially, have fallen prey to the same tendencies as their self-proclaimed enemy, the chauvanist. |
