That's just one example of unequal justice between rich and poor.
Here's another: Consider a rich and poor innocent person arrested and jailed pending trial with a very high bond. The rich person bonds out then proves innocent at the trial, gets the bond money back, and walks. The poor person can't come up with bond money, so they sit in jail for months until they get to trial, prove innocent, and walk.
Or consider the misdemeanors. Same offense, same monetary penalty, but different value taken. For the rich person it is insignificant pocket change and for the poor person it's a higher percentage of their working life.
