| IF meat was that unhealthy to consume, Wouldn't we have noticed that over the thousands of years it took our species to develop?
If meat caused us more harm then good, then wouldn't survival of the fittest kicked in and caused us to abandon that dangerous lifestyle thousands of years ago.
I still disagree that meat in itself is bad for us humans. Most families consume more meat then they need, Many also prepare meat in an unhealthy manner. Factory Farms can also raise meat in an unhealthy manner. I think its more that Vegetarians are more careful of what they eat. Also vegetables and fruit which seem to comprise most of their diet is the least likely food to undergo processing which makes it easier to avoid additives.
If meat is so bad for us, then why have we kept it as a food source for thousands of years? Why have the Inuit people managed to survive almost completely on animal sources without dying out because it was so unhealthy? |
