| There would be no conflict if there were not seemingly respectable people on both sides condemning the other.
The problem is not the people, it's the people in charge that are creating the problem.
The bible is full of examples condemning people who did not believe in Jesus. Instead of telling those who do follow Jesus a message of faith, hope and opportunity.. They get a message of trials and tribulation.
Atheists are not organized as such, but they do have their own resources and some semblance of organization.
