Because Miss USA is an icon of America. I'm not saying this is the only reason why she got boo'd, but if you -heavily- disagreed with the actions of a particular country and they came to your nation and rose a flag in a crowd of fellow citizens, would you not be irked? Is Miss USA not, in some ways, little more than a nation's flag? Perhaps she's even worse; she, some would argue, represents the shallower side of a nation, showing what is deemed as perfection, something that the general populace can never have.
