| This is all true. There was no such thing as "illegal" immigration before the fifties, but does that mean it did not occur? Illegal immigration is illegal immigration weather you call it that or not. I will not support illegal immigration, but I will support the people that traveled across desserts, and a vast empty space to reach America. Once again I view everything from the view of an American. I do not get the whole story. That is part of why I joined this debate, so that I could learn more about the views of other people. I am in high school, but I try to view the world as a whole. People fear what they do not know. People do not know about Mexicans, vor illegal immigration, therefore they fear those who are immigrants. I maintain it wqas the same for the Chinese, Irish, Germans, and any other immigrant across history. That is my opinion. |
