| I know that when Sheehan first started her protest it inspired a lot of anger from all Americans... those who support the war and those who don't.
Even now, the most recent number I heard last night is that over 60% of Americans oppose the war, and almost 80% support the troops while opposing the war.
Sheehan, when she started, had the right reasons but the wrong methods. In a time when she could have been a much more effective and powerful voice, she took that ball and ran the wrong way with it, thus giving the pro-war types someone to point to and say, "Is that what you believe?" |
