Yes you right. But what it has to with religion? Israel was birthplace of Jewish people there is many cultural and historical ties with this land and that one of the main reasons it was chosen.

No the Jews started to immigrate back to the land, when they became a majority they wanted to fully control the government. The only way to fully control this piece of land was to use force. The war is NOT over.
