Why was there a majority of Jews in a Jewish state? I know why. Because Jews thought they should "spiritualy ascend to the holy land." If Zionism is secular and has no ties with religion, then why should Zionism be distinguished from Territorialism?
It seems as though ever since the Great Jewish Revolt, Jews have wanted to go back to their homeland.

The idea was to immigrat to the Land of Israel (Aliyah), become the majorty, and kick out the minority. Obviously, the Jews started the current war.
in Jewish holy spells such as the Passover and Yom Kippur there are claims that one day the Jews will return. This type of narrowed minded dillusional thinking is what makes this debate so hard to figure out.
I suggest Jews no longer consider themselves Zionists. America should give up a section of their own land in order to make room for a Jewish homeland. I suggest Texas, you ok with that shrike? You still may have to worry about religious fanatics though...so I do not know if that will solve your problem.
