So it was/is not our choice to become the babysitters for countries who's only use to us is oil (Saudi). In addition, it is funny you should ask about when we became an empire with the power to erase nations and national goverment. That is a very simple question. We have had the power to erase goverments for a VERY long time. If need arise, that is what our bombs are for. Hopefully it will never come to that, but opposing countries know that we have weapons of destruction within our grasp. We have the most powerful goverment in the world and by God our goverment knows it. |
